New Equipment for the Summer of 2020 and Bowling's Return

New Equipment for the Summer of 2020 and Bowling's Return

Avoiding the bowling center for the last couple of months has undoubtedly given many bowlers the itch to buy a new piece for their arsenal. Who doesn’t like adding new equipment to their bag?

Here are some of the latest releases that could fill a hole in your bag when it’s time to return to bowling.

Strong

Radical Results

Radical Results

The Radical Bowling Technologies arm of Brunswick has been known for making aggressive bowling balls that show a strong mid-lane motion with a pronounced motion on the backend as well. Their big asymmetric cores are some of the strongest on the market and the new Radical Results fits right into that line.

The Results core sports an undrilled intermediate differential of 0.027, one of the highest on the market. This means despite the strong Textured Pearl 1 coverstock, the Results still makes a defined motion on the backend to gives bowlers the entry angle they are looking for.

Bowlers who are speed-dominant or bowlers playing on wetter conditions should look into buying a Results. Even bowlers outside these categories could benefit from a Results, which is a versatile piece with high hook potential.

Hammer Redemption Solid

Hammer Redemption Solid

Every bowler will encounter a situation when they need a ball to have snow tires. They need a ball that cuts through the fresh oil and makes a defined motion on the back end. The new Hammer Redemption Solid fits that mold.

Make no mistake about it, the Redemption Solid is an aggressive piece. The Redemption core, joined with the new Aggression NE Solid coverstock gives the bowler a strong mid-lane motion with enough hitting power to shred the rack on fresh oil.

This ball is about as strong as it gets. Bowlers looking for extra traction on the lanes can expect a Redemption Solid to fit perfectly in their bag.

Versatile

Ebonite Omni

Ebonite Omni

For years, bowlers have fawned over the predictable motion of the V2 core from the GameBreaker series. The Omni replicates that predictable motion in an asymmetric core shape and will be a popular ball for various types of bowlers.

Ebonite combines their new core shape with a new version of the GSV coverstock found on the Ebonite Choice and Impact. The ball looks just as good going off the pin deck as it does going down the lane.

The Omni is a great choice for bowlers of all types. For bowlers with more RPMs, the Omni would fit in the middle of your arsenal and give you a predictable motion when the lanes transition. For bowlers with fewer revolutions, the Omni might be your first ball out of the bag with a weaker piece behind it.

Track Proof

Track Proof

Track is known for producing versatile asymmetric cores and they’ve done it again with the new Track Proof.

The Omni and Proof are similar in terms of core strength and overall motion. Track’s new Prime Response coverstock gives it enough traction to cut through heavy oil without overhooking at the breakpoint.

The Proof looks excellent and will perform excellent on the lanes. Bowlers with higher revolution rates may even be able to get away with the Proof being the strongest ball in their bag.

Late and Angular

Hammer Fugitive

Hammer Fugitive

Looking for a ball to attack drier lane conditions? The new Hammer Fugitive is an option to consider.

The new Fugitive core is wrapped in the already successful Juiced Pearl cover, giving bowlers a clean motion through the fronts and a predictable, strong motion downlane. When the pattern begins to open up and you need added length, a Fugitive will fulfill your needs.

Bowlers with higher rev rates may find more usability with the Fugitve, but even speed dominant bowlers will see the Fugitive make moves on dry lane conditions.

DV8 Warrant

DV8 Warrant

The new DV8 Warrant will provide a slightly smoother reaction than the Fugitive but give bowlers plenty of motion downlane.

The Captive core and N-Forcer SF Hybrid coverstock combine to give bowlers a clean motion through the early part of the lane and a angular shape on the backend. Like the Fugitive, the Warrant fits best in the low end of your bag, when the conditions begin to dry up.
