Track Triton Elite

That’s right Track fans. Remember that amazing, predictable benchmark motion the Triton Elite gave you? Well, it’s back, but with an updated coverstock and a slightly modified core.

The QR-7 series was originally featured on the Track Cyborg a few years ago. Now, for the first time in a solid version, we are wrapping the QR-7 solid around the MC2 Technology core at a 2000 grit Abralon finish to give you a big continuous hook on medium oil conditions.

MC2 stands for “Modified Core 2”. We took the shape of the original Core 2 Technology found in the Triton Elite nearly 20 years ago and our engineers then made modifications which raised the RG and lowered the differential slightly. This core modification, in combination with the new coverstock, mirrors the Triton Elite motion that everyone used to love.

I drilled the Triton Elite pin up and left it at box finish and plan on using this ball for tournaments when I need that extra flip on the back end. This ball really gets down the lane nicely and is very angular off the spot. It’s now my strongest ball in the bag. This ball will definitely be going to Vegas for Nationals in late April.

Triton Elite
This has to be one of the best benchmark balls I have ever thrown! I have dulled this ball down and put polish on it and both times it gives me the reaction that I'm missing! This is a special ball to have for any condition!

Superior performace
The Track Triton Elite is a phenomenal ball. It make me feel like I have no out of bounds with this ball. For a solid cover stock this ball gets through the front part of the lane with ease and is pretty angular downlane. That downlane motion really surprised me with how angular it is. When the ball drives through the pins there is little to no deflection as this ball wants to keep going through the pin very hard which has left me a few 8 pins with it. This is going to be a ball that every skill set of players can match up with.

Controllable, Continuous, POP!!!
Controllable, Continuous, POP!

This ball is one of those benchmark balls that every bowler should have in their bag.

It is cleaner through the fronts with a decently quick response to friction. I typically don't like really quick responding balls, but this one is very controllable.

One of my favorite things about this ball is it's ability to take changes to its surface. It comes very dull out of the box and wants to start up really well in the oil. After taking the surface to 500-1000-2000, it easily pushed through the early friction and still made a great shape on the back.

I think this ball will be great for those middle games where you have to open up the pattern a little, but still need the ball to pick up and continue.

More Than a Benchmark Ball
The Track Triton Elite is a remarkable solid bowling ball. For a mid-performance solid, it has more backend motion and flip than any other ball I have thrown of its kind. I never had the pleasure of throwing the original Triton series – but I never threw the original Heat, Kinetic or Mako series, either…and the new versions have all been quite reliable and effective.

Typically, for me, a solid on THS is either great for playing into the oil or plays well straight outside when there is enough oil. But, when I try to play from the inside to the outside, they either are too weak or too aggressive…thus a wet/dry reaction. However, the Triton Elite seems to have the combination of strong mid-lane reaction with the strong flip of a good pearl.

This ball is advertised as a good benchmark ball. I think the backend makes it more than that – and I would stick with my Tactix for my benchmark. But when I need backend in a solid ball, this will be a go-to!
