Track Kinetic Amethyst

The Modified Kinetic core just keeps on coming, and with it comes the new Kinetic Amethyst. With the QR-6 Pearl coverstock, this Kinetic will give you the most responsive downlane motion of the Kinetic series.

The QR-6 Pearl coverstock offers great length with the fastest response to friction in Track's mid-price line-up. Combined with a 500 / 1000 polished finish, this cover is best suited for medium oil patterns.

The Modified Kinetic core is back by popular demand. This low RG, medium differential and low MB core stores energy longer and uses it quicker than Track’s other mid performance cores. You wont find an asymmetric core for this price anywhere!

Track - Kinetic Amethyst

Layout: 60 x 4 ¾ x 40
Balance Hole: P2

Kinetic Amethyst is the latest edition to the Kinetic series and in my mind the best one yet. Very simple Kinetic core with a clean but responsive coverstock is a great combination for the lanes that have a lot of friction or when the oil patterns breakdown.

I compare the new Kinetic Amethyst to the Heat. Amethyst gives me good length through the pattern with a solid response down the lane. This ball is a bit earlier than the Heat, which allows me to use the Kinetic Amethyst earlier in the day. I use this ball on longer patterns very often. This ball definitely fits right between the Kinetic Emerald and the Kinetic Ruby. Cannot get a better ball at this price range! I would highly suggest this ball.

Another great Kinetic
I am usually not a fan of Pearl bowling balls, but The Kinetic Amethyst changed that. For me it rolls very smooth compared to the Kinetic Emerald and Ruby. This ball will be perfect for medium lane conditions. Love the weight block in the Kinetic line.

Kinetic Amethyst
Ball: Kinetic Amethyst
Layout: 65 x 5 x 40 – Pin above bridge
Surface: 500/1000 Factory Finish Polish

Bowler specs

Rev Rate: 370 RPM
Ball Speed: 16 MPH
Pap: 5-3/8 – 1 UP

I drilled the Amethyst pin up and left it at box finish and plan on using this ball as a skid flip piece when the lanes start to transition. This ball clears the heads very nicely and stores a lot of energy for the pins. This will be a great one on the lighter patterns when you have to move deep on the lane. Another quality ball from Track.

A Cleaner Kinetic
The Track Kinetic Amethyst is the pearl version in the Kinetic series. It is most definitely the cleanest through the front part of the lane of the 3 balls in the series and is more controllable in the back end.

My ball was drilled with the pin about 3” from my PAP (4 ¾” over X 5/8” up), and there is 1 ½ oz. of side weight with no weight hole (which will be a legal drilling as of 8/1/18). Both the Kinetic Ruby and Emerald had a strong mid-lane move and generated a strong backend motion. The Amethyst appears to be much more controlled arc motion in the backend, storing a lot of energy to get through the pins. With this drilling, I believe the Amethyst will be an excellent league ball and will work well on medium length and lighter volume patterns or during lane transition. I wish I would have had this ball in time for USBC Nationals team pattern!

The Kinetic series has been wonderful for me, and the Amethyst definitely appears to be another winner for Track. For the upcoming league season and for those more challenging sport shots, the Kinetic Amethyst will not disappoint.

Best one of the three
With the kinetic amethyst I was able to play multiple angles.
I was bowling on Stone Street was able to play up the boards and get a little bit right being left handed and it still have enough energy to go through the pins.

Pin is above rigner finger bout 1ich and kicked left bout 1/4 of inch. Cg is 1/2 above my center line and about 4inches from it.

Impress on how many different angles I could play with this ball.

To me it reads a little bit sooner than a kinetic Emerald and has the same hook if not just a bit more than a kinetic Ruby. this is actually probably the smoothest ball out of three.
